FAQs About Buying a Home

What’s the first step in the home buying process?

First, I get to know you on a personal basis to find out what your expectations are of me as your realtor. Furthermore, I work to understand what you’re looking for in a forever home. Above all, I want to help get you in your dream home.

What does your search process consist of?

I utilize automated searches on a variety of platforms to notify me when a house with your criteria is listed on the market. For example, I use Multiple Listing Services, inter-agency connections, and running ads on social media.

How do we go about making an offer on a house?

I promise to have your best interest in mind before making an offer. I will discuss with you the appropriate price of the house, contingencies, inspections, earnest money, closing costs, and timeframes. Above all, I want to make sure you get the best deal possible in a home you’ll love for years to come.

What is the closing process like with you as my realtor?

There is still work to be done after the contracts are signed. I will do my best to prepare you for every possible scenario when it comes to inspections and what to expect. I’ll also discuss your financing options and other paperwork. Lastly, I will ask for your feedback on my performance as a realtor, and what I can do to improve my processes.

Lastly, I’ll prepare you with paperwork and things you should know prior to selling. My top priority is thorough communication with you during the process.

What marketing platforms and materials do you use to promote a listing?

As your realtor, I'll utilize Multiple Listing Services (MLS), inter-agency & other agency announcements, social media platforms (i.e. Facebook ads, Zillow, Realtor.com, Trulia), and occasionally, newspaper ads.

What does your offer acceptance process consist of?

What should I expect once I accept an offer?

I like to tell my clients to prepare for anything that can come up with inspections. You can also expect me to help you with buyer financing where applicable, title work completion, and closing. In addition, I’ll follow up with you afterward for your feedback on what processes I can improve on.
